June Newsletter

The following are the community events for the month of June!

Downtown Crescent City Farmers Market

Wednesdays, June - October | 9AM - 2PM

240 H Street, Crescent City, CA

The Downtown Crescent City Farmers Market opening day is tomorrow! Join us as we kick off another season of fresh local food, handmade goods, live music, and community connection on Wednesday, June 3rd from 9AM - 2PM. Whether you're shopping for weekly groceries, meeting local producers, or simply enjoying a day downtown, there's something for everyone at the market.

This season's market brings together local farmers and ranchers, food vendors, artisans, community organizations, musicians, and family-friendly activities. Shoppers can find fresh produce, eggs, grass-fed beef, baked goods, prepared foods, handcrafted goods, and plant starts while connecting directly with the people who grow, raise, and make them.

Featured producers include Ocean Air Farms, Elkhorn Herbals Plant Nursery, Prairie Companion Company, and Muddy Bears Farm. Food vendors include Wild Rivers Coffee, Rebecca'ihaw-ihaw Filipino BBQ and Catering, Crescent to Crescent Bakery Co., Dandelion Bakery, and Defe's Cosina. Visitors can also enjoy weekly live music from 11 AM–1 PM and connect with community partners such as Redwoods Parks Conservancy, Master Gardeners, and Del Norte Unified School District Nutrition Services.

The market proudly offers Market Match and other nutrition incentive programs that help shoppers stretch their food dollars. Customers using EBT, WIC, and Open Door benefits can receive up to $20 in matching funds per program each market day to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. Visit the Market Manager booth to learn more and access available incentives while supporting local farmers and food producers.

Families can also look forward to the return of the Power of Produce (POP) Club, running June 17–August 12. Through hands-on activities, produce tastings, and educational experiences, children can earn "POP Bucks" to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market while learning about healthy eating and local food systems.
