To strengthen our local food system to support a healthy and resilient North Coast Community.
Vision
A resilient community with the knowledge and resources to access, produce, and enjoy local produce and culturally relevant foods. A community working together to strengthen food sovereignty in Del Norte and Tribal Lands.
Purpose
To enhance nutrition security and local food system by improving infrastructure, market access, support for local producers and promoting healthy local foods. We prioritize equity, indigenous food ways, and sustainability while strengthening community resilience and emergency preparedness.

Through hands-on learning opportunities, we help community members build the skills and confidence to grow, prepare, preserve, and enjoy healthy local foods.

We work to expand opportunities for local farmers, ranchers, food businesses, and entrepreneurs by improving infrastructure, strengthening supply chains, and creating new markets for locally produced food.
Food Systems Resilience
We strengthen regional preparedness through emergency planning, sustainable resource management, and partnerships that improve long-term food security.

We honor the critical importance of the land and water to the Indigenous peoples of California today, and that the existence of tribal communities and preservation of traditional Indigenous ways of life depend on secure and permanent land bases and the right of self-determination (ACLU of Northern California).
