    The Power of Produce (POP) Club provides a fun opportunity for children to engage in the local food system through conversations directly with farmers, educational games and demonstrations, and exposure to new fruits and vegetables. In addition to participating in educational activities, POP Club kids receive vouchers to spend at the market, allowing them to make their own shopping decisions at the market.

  • June 17th - August 12, 2026

    11AM - 12PM

    Pickup free breakfast and lunch for all kids 18 and under through the Del Norte Unified School District.

  • Students in this afterschool program will be selling produce THEY GREW at the Farmers Market starting Wednesday, June 17th. Beginning in May, students 6th through 12th grade learned about food production & business skills in Del Norte County.

Nutrition Programs

  • EBT can be used to purchase produce, eggs, meat, baked goods, honey, jams & plants. EBT cannot be used for hot prepared foods.

  • Market Match is a healthy food incentive program that matches federal benefits dollar-for-dollar. When you swipe your EBT card at the market, the program gives you up to $20 free matching tokens to spend exclusively on fresh fruits, vegetables and food plant starts. Spend $20 with EBT and you get $20 more!

  • Open Door Prescription Food Vouchers can be doubled for free at the market. Simply visit the Market Manager Booth to double your voucher values. These can be used to buy fruits and vegetables only.

  • Use your California WIC Card with the QR code to buy fresh produce from local farmers. Visit the Market Manager Booth for more information.

  • Children will recieve POP Bucks for trying new foods & meeting the farmers that grew them at the market. This program starts June 17 from 11AM - 1PM and will continue every Wednesday through August 12th. Visit the Market Manager Booth for more information.
