Kevin Mealue

DNATL CFC Board Member

In 2023, Kevin was asked by DNATL CFC’s Executive Director to participate in the Steering Committee. This introduction to Del Norte’s local food economy held great interest for Kevin, and when the decision was made to formulate the official DNATL CFC non-profit, he gladly accepted the invitation to sit on the board!

As an Elk Valley Rancheria Tribal Council Member and employee, Kevin has been involved with many local projects including, but not limited to, the ongoing Last Chance Grade bypass effort, numerous cultural resources projects, and Beachfront Park master planning. Additionally, Kevin was president of the Crescent City Wild Rivers Disc Golf club from 2010 through 2024. Further, for 10 years, Kevin sat as chairman on the non-profit Gateway Education board governing programs which helped children find themselves through nature.

Kevin identifies as a Native American and White man. Kevin’s hobbies and interests include sound design (both listening to music and playing it), mushroom gathering, and traveling/exploring.
